Skin Cancer

• Procedure - Removes malignant skin cancer from the area with techniques to maximize healing and minimize scarring.
• Length - 15 minutes to 2 hours.
• Anaesthesia - General.
• In/Outpatient - Outpatient.
• Side effects - Swelling, Bruising, Soreness, Numbness.
• Risks - Infection, Bleeding, Conspicuous scars, Skin or tissue loss, Delayed or Poor wound healing, Need for additional surgery.
• Recovery - Back to work less than 1 week.  Strenuous activities 3 to 4 weeks.  Fading of scars several months to a year.
